The all-new Land Rover Discovery that is not yet launched was spotted undergoing winter testing later this year. Dressed in extensive camouflage, Land Rover Discovery 5 prototype looked less boxy than the model it is going to replace.
It is expected that many of the design cues of this model will be from Discovery Sport. Rounded front of this 2017 model will be heavily inspired by the Sport and there will be horizontal taillights at the back of it. These taillights are replacing the vertical arrangement of Discovery 4. You can easily get these taillights from online auto parts superstore.
Land Rover has already announced that this new model will be offered initially with seven-seat layout that will include at least three members. Thanks to an aluminum-intensive construction, Discovery will have considerably less weight than its predecessors.
Interior cabin of Land Rover Discovery is expected to be a mixture of Discovery Sport and the more upscale Range Rover. On the tech side, laser-scanning system can be part of this model. It can automatically adjust the gearbox and suspension depending on road’s condition.
The famous turbo diesel 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine will be a part of this model’s engine family. There are high chances that Land Rover will also offer its crop of Magnesium motors. This all-new Land Rover Discovery is going to make its debut later this year in October at Paris Motor Show.
